Sept 3, 2010 Just wanted to remind you of some upcoming gigs. On Saturday Sept 11 we'll be at Riverside for the Pig Roast. Jessica or Sherri can help you find tickets ($12). I think Ignite from Windhaven and Filling Station Overflow might be joining us. The folks from Ignite have been friends for a long time. They have a great band, led by the famous Sheila Lloyd. I like the guys from the Filling Station Overflow in Edinburg too. Stopped by their cafe not too long ago for a fun evening of food and music. Good stuff. Sept 17 we'll be at a revival at Mt. Olivet Church of the Brethren in Timberville. Come on out -- be revived! |
Aug 24, 2010 Things are coming back together nicely. Looks like Chris (and maybe Bud) will be helping us with our sound. Excellent. Larry has been filling in on drums while Andrew is away. Johnathan has a new sunburst Highway One Stratocaster - played right side up. Barry has a moving version of "Old Time Rock and Roll" that Jessica pounds on keyboards and Dennis crushes on bass. Tiffany has some amazing woo-woo wailing on her own "Did you Say it." Barbara gets vocal-angry on a fast version of Bob's "Send the Rain Again." Kyle is leading the distortion-heavy "Shine" and we're doing one of Sherri's favorites - the country classic "When We All Get to Heaven" too. Kay and Steve are making wedding plans. Should be some good stuff coming up! Cool. |
Aug 2, 2010 Great band workshop weekend! Thanks for putting all of that together, Mr. New Stratocaster Sherman (and Jessica and Tiffany). I think the long break was good for the band. We've got a great start on some new songs. Thanks to Chris and Keyana for coming by and helping us with our drumming, sound and video. Excellent. |
