ACTIVISM

The fullest life leads us toward concern for others and a deeper connection to something beyond ourselves. What really matters - if we are people of faith - are lives of love and service. "Ubuntu" is an African idea that means I am a human being because I belong. I participate. I share. I cannot be who I am meant to be without other people. As Christians, we are to act in such a way that the nature of God becomes visible. As a band we support several charitable organizations by tithing from our proceeds and by participating in their work.

Thoughts :

Bishop Desmond Tutu says that "God calls on us to be his partners to work for a new kind of society where people count; where people matter more than things, more than possessions; where human life is not just respected but positively revered; where people will be secure and not suffer from the fear of hunger, from ignorance, from disease; where there will be more gentleness, more caring, more sharing, more compassion, more laughter, where there is peace and not war."
